To the people of Amway

I address to the person who commented on my previous post. The person who found my critisism against Amway, translated it to english and on the behalf of Amway defended the company - I still disagree with you.
The activity which you run is still multi-level marketing and I curse the whole method, and I will not see a friend of mine get lured in to this shady business.
Amway is not according to the american Federal Trade Commission (and also the swedish lotteriinspektionen) qualified as a pyramid scheme therefore legal, but Amway has tremendously exaggerated the amount of profit, earnings or sales its distributors are likely to achieve. The inquiry also shows that most of the products sold by Amway are used by the distributors themselves for personal consumption rather than to customers who aren't enrolled in Amway.
The whole idea is that the "independant business owner" (the distributor) helps others to become IBOs and to get them to buy the products from Amway instead of other companies. According to the researcher John M. Taylor's calculations 99,9% of the people enrolled in Amway actually looses money.
The so called "motivational organizations", run by people in connection with the Amway business, are in accordance with the BITE-model meeting the criterion of cult-like activity.
That's Amway, and I wouldn't call that "normal business".

All the best
